Naturally Enhance Your Fertility

Simply changing your lifestyle habits can dramatically affect your fertility. Here are 10 things you can do to increase your chances of conception:
  • Drink very little to no alcohol. Studies have shown that even moderate levels of drinking in the month prior to IVF can greatly reduce success rates.
  • Drink little to no coffee. Studies have shown that drinking coffee also dramatically reduces the success rate of IVF. Drinking even 1 cup of coffee a day increases the chances of infertility. Acupuncture can increase your energy and reduce cravings to help you kick the coffee habit.

Picture
In a randomized controlled trial of 52 women suffering from moderate to severe dysmenorrhea, acupuncture was found to be just as effective as oral contraceptive pills in relieving the intensity of menstrual pain by 33%, reducing the number of days women suffered from menstrual pain, and the amount of pain killers needed to relieve the pain, without any of the hormone related side effects. (Sriprasert et al, 2015)

Acupuncture can reduce symptoms of menopause including hot flashes, insomnia & irritability.

A randomized trial of 100 menopausal women having at least 3 episodes of hot flashes daily, found that acupuncture significantly reduced the occurrence of hot flashes and sudden sweating. Acupuncture treatment also significantly improved other symptoms such as sleep disorders, tightness in the chest, irritability, bone pain, and feelings of depression. (Baccetti et al, 2014)  In another randomized controlled trial involving 60 women suffering from menopausal irritability, acupuncture was found to be more effective than the medication diazepam.
